Compressive Properties and Failure Mechanisms of Gradient Aluminum Foams Prepared by a Powder Metallurgy Method

چکیده

A layered gradient aluminum foam was prepared by powder sintering with sodium thiosulfate (Na2S2O3) particles as the cell-forming agent. By cutting, polishing and observing under a microscope, it found that were not completely melted after but only combined surface melting. Based on quasi-static compression test macroscopic diagram of sample during deformation, mechanical properties studied, their deformation characteristics mechanism analyzed discussed.
